Fort Pulaski and River Street - Savannah, GA

Gotta show pride, especially this week, Independence Day!








Then I went to the beach a few minutes on Tybee Island.








A little eye candy...


Then on to River Street. Google it.

Nice pics! Savannah seems real tranquil. Nice beach pic! Smile


From Wikipedia.org - "Charles H. Olmstead, a CSA Colonel in command of Fort Pulaski in April of 1862. After a continuous bombardment of 30 hours the walls were breached and the Fort was surrendered. It was the first effective use of rifled cannon against a masonry fortification and thus marked an epoch in military history."
